Reva is one of the latest releases in Urban Gujarati movie chapter which has both meaningful story and cinematic delight to watch. This movie practically appeals to all types of movie lovers and attracts them to the theatre once. The scriptwriting and screenplay of the Gujarati movie Reva has pushed the boundaries of Gujarati language movie to a few miles and raised a bar of expectations for viewers. Director Rahul Bhole and Vinit Kanojia have superbly cast the movie from a different angle. This Gujarati movie Reva is based on the Gujarati novel “Tatvamasi”.

The performance of all the star cast in the movie Reva is phenomenal. Particularly Chetan Dhanani has made a wonderful and remarkable debut through this film. Portraying the role of Karan is a marvelous performance by him. Also the character of Supriya played by Monal Gajjar has done a wonderful job in Gujarati movie Reva. She played a strong character of a well-educated Indian woman who loves to connect to her roots. Also the performance of Abhinay Banker and Atul makes an important place throughout the story with considerable weightage.

The lead role of movie Reva, Karan Purohit is brought up in the US and on one day he finds his grandfather left nothing on his name after his demise. His grandfather donated every penny of his property to Narmada Ashram near the bank of river Narmada. The ashram is located in a small village somewhere on the border of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The trade here for Karan to get his grandfather’s property back is that he needs to get the signature of the trustees of the ashram. This is the real plot of the movie Reva and turning plot of the story. And to do so he went to that village and ashram and stays there for short time. He met the locals and learned about their customs, traditions and beliefs of the people who live with the small expectation but happily. This is totally opposite from the culture where he was raised. After staying to the ashram for almost three weeks, he gets his will back but to a twist of fate, he understands the meaning of life and his existence. His realization has worked and he left all his will and went to start parikrama of the river Narmada. There are very few movies released in last decade from Gujarati cinema that appeals all class and types of audiences and Reva is one such film for sure.

Apart from the strong and meaningful story, this Gujarati movie Reva has a strong base in its music. The title song Reva or the other Namami Devi Narmade and the Sangeet Jalso which was even picturized marvellously. The songs and the music is a treat to Gujarati movie lovers. The picturization and the cinematography at some of the location near Narmada have awestruck the audience with the beauty of river Narmada.
