Information About Kevi Rite Jaish
This Urban Gujarati movie Kevi Rite Jaish is a satire fiction based on the obsession of the Patels from Gujarat to migrate to the USA. Patels from Gujarat have migrated to the USA and now holds one of the important shares into their motel and retail business. The story of this Gujarati movie is based on one Patel family in Ahmedabad trying to send their son through numerous attempts. In the movie Kevi Rite Jaish, the lead role Harish, the younger son of Bachubhai is trying to migrate to the USA and this makes the total plot funny for his immigration process and various tests preparations.
In a flashback, Bachu Patel and Ishwar were close friends and both shares a dream to go to the USA in their younger days. However, Ishawar migrated to America but Bachu doesn’t have enough money so he just left and stayed in India. This is why Bachu Patel feels betrayed by his friend in Kevi Rite Jaish. While in the present life, Bachu’s younger son Harish is like the father only and has the dream of America from childhood. Harish applies for a US visa but got rejected in an interview by Derek Thomas, played by veteran actor Tom Alter.
Meanwhile, Ishwar Patel from the US returns to India with his daughter Aayushi, Veronica Gautam. Ishwar is now a successful businessman in the USA and known as a Motel King. In contrast to Bachu, Ishwar’s dream is to invest in Gujarat and get settled in the motherland for the rest of his life. They met at Bachu’s place and Bachu’s younger son Harish falls in love with Aayushi, despite his father’s resents towards his old friend. The Urban Gujarati movie Kevi Rite Jaish is typically appeals more to certain class of people who actually understands the pain of rejected visa and not getting though immigration process. The second half of the movie turns out as interesting plot and makes it good to watch and explore how Harish gets his dream come true to settle in the USA or not.
